On March 30, 2027, Moses Boyd lands at Thekla with a live set built around his drummer-producer instinct: tight, mobile grooves that slide between British jazz and club pressure without choosing sides. Raised in London’s cross-currents, he plays with the precision of a jazz musician and the reflexes of someone who grew up on grime, broken beat, dub and soundsystem culture, letting improvisation breathe while the rhythm stays locked.
Known for Binker and Moses and for collaborations that jump from Sampha to Little Simz or Four Tet, Boyd brings that open, collective energy on stage. Expect drums as the main engine, electronics and heavy bass woven into the swing, plus the newer, voice-led direction hinted at with Songs For Sinners: gospel traces, choral harmonies and a darker, urban glow. A concert made for heads and bodies alike, right in the belly of Thekla.
