If there is a voice that cannot be mistaken for any other, it is Macy Gray. Raspy, slightly husky, always a bit defiant—perfect for soul and R&B, in which she blends intimate ballads with a funkier, pop-tinged edge. From the breakthrough "On How Life Is" through subsequent records, on which she touched rock, hip-hop or, later, jazzier, more raw arrangements, Macy consistently sticks to emotion and character, rather than chasing fashion.
As part of "The Trouble With The Truth Tour", she returns to the stage with material that allows her to play broadly: from classic numbers to newer takes on the sound, still based on rhythm, groove and life-inspired storytelling. On November 23, 2026, Macy Gray will perform at the B90 Club in Gdańsk.
