On February 4, 2027, Ugly Kid Joe will perform at Le 106 in Rouen for a live show that spotlights their distinctive blend: hard rock, alternative metal, and hints of funk, driven by catchy choruses that hit the mark and an ever-present irony. Born in California in the late 1980s around Whitfield Crane and Klaus Eichstadt, the band first rose to prominence in the early 1990s with As Ugly as They Wanna Be, before widening its range with America’s Least Wanted, which even features Rob Halford as a guest.
After Menace to Sobriety and Motel California, followed by a long hiatus, Ugly Kid Joe reformed in 2010 and relaunched the machine with Stairway to Hell, Uglier Than They Used ta Be, and more recently Rad Wings of Destiny. On stage, the original core of Crane, Eichstadt, Cordell Crockett, and Dave Fortman is joined by Zac Morris on drums for a set that blends raw energy with catchy melodies.
