Led by Peter Kingsbery, a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist, Cock Robin established itself in the mid-80s with a new wave pop-rock driven by sharp melodies, prominent keyboards and a chorus that sticks to the skin. Formed in Los Angeles and signed to Columbia in 1985, the band navigated the MTV era and toured relentlessly, before becoming a solid landmark in Europe. Between 1986 and 1990, Cock Robin released emblematic tracks such as 'The Promise You Made', 'When Your Heart Is Weak', 'Thought You Were On My Side' and 'Just Around The Corner'. After reforming in 2006, the story continued around Kingsbery, with a new team and records that steered the sound toward something more electronic and then more pop/rock, notably Chinese Driver, the EP Lollobrigida and Homo Alien. On May 26, 2027 at Le Liberté, in Rennes, the 85-89 tour brings Cock Robin back to essentials: a setlist centered on the first three albums, mixing hits with lesser-known tracks from the founding period.
