Info
Leicester-born and now London-based, Martin Luke Brown brings his blend of indie-pop, soul and light R&B to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on 27 November 2026. Emerging in the mid-2010s with a run of singles and EPs, he shaped a sound built around a clear, upfront voice, warm keys and clean guitar lines, with arrangements that leave space for the songs to breathe. His writing stays close to the intimate stuff — relationships, identity, the small shifts that mark a day — carried by melodies that feel direct without tipping into gloss.
After an early chapter on a major, Brown steered his work toward a more hands-on, independent approach, honing production that’s personal and quietly crafted. Alongside his own releases, he’s written for other pop projects, a detour that sharpened his sense of hooks and detail without blunting the edges. On stage, he moves between solo setups and tight, minimal bands, focusing on dynamics and nuance rather than sheer volume. Live, his sets often weave newer tracks with the songs that first put him on the map, building from hushed verses to choruses that linger. Special guests join for the night.
