On April 8, 2027 at L’Autre Canal in Nancy, Rodrigo y Gabriela return as an acoustic guitar duo. Formed in Mexico in the 1990s before a decisive detour via Dublin, Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero have built an entirely instrumental repertoire where flamenco- and Latin-inspired rhythms intersect with rock and metal heritage and more folk-like melodic motifs. On stage the dialogue is clear: Rodrigo carries the lead line while Gabriela sets the pulse by combining rasgueos, off‑beats and percussive strikes on the guitar body. Their set draws from albums such as Rodrigo y Gabriela, 11:11, 9 Dead Alive, Mettavolution and In Between Thoughts... A New World, alternating tense, high-energy pieces with more contemplative interludes. No vocals—just two guitars conversing, raising the tension and sculpting atmospheres through their variations.
