Info

On 23 September 2026 at The Prospect Building in Bristol, Death Cab for Cutie lead an evening anchored by nearly three decades of indie rock. Formed in 1997 in Bellingham, Washington around singer-guitarist Ben Gibbard with longtime bassist Nick Harmer, the band shaped a sound of melodic guitars, discreet keys and steady rhythms serving detailed, introspective lyrics. From the lo-fi contours of Something About Airplanes to the expansive writing of Transatlanticism, then the major-label chapters of Plans and Narrow Stairs, their catalogue has kept evolving through Codes and Keys, Kintsugi, Thank You for Today and Asphalt Meadows. On stage, Gibbard’s clear voice and the group’s patient dynamics carry songs that shift from hushed passages to driving momentum, with a set drawing across milestones and recent work.

Pool Kids open with a math-rock and emo-leaning take on guitar music. Formed in 2017 in Tallahassee and led by vocalist-guitarist Christine Goodwyne with Caden Clinton (drums), Andy Anaya (guitar) and Nicolette Alvarez (bass), the quartet balances angular riffs and knotty rhythms with melodic lines. After their debut Music to Practice Safe Sex To in 2018, a sharper self-titled album in 2022 and Easier Said Than Done in 2025 on Epitaph, they arrive in the UK with material that threads complexity and directness.
