Info
Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit bring their blend of Americana, alt-country and Southern rock to SEC Armadillo in Glasgow on 7 June 2026. Centred around songwriter and guitarist Jason Isbell, the band took shape in the late 2000s between Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee, after his years with Drive-By Truckers. Their music balances taut electric guitars, folk accents and unhurried grooves with lyrics that trace personal stories and the tensions of the present.
On stage, the 400 Unit move as a tight, flexible group built around recurring players, leaving space for songs to breathe and for Isbell’s voice and guitar lines to carry the narrative. The set draws across the catalogue: the self-titled 2009 record and Here We Rest (2011), through The Nashville Sound (2017) and Reunions (2020) made with producer Dave Cobb, up to Weathervanes (2023), which continues their melodic, story-driven rock. A show rooted in Southern songwriting, shaped by the independent spirit of Nashville, and carried by a band who let the song lead.
