Info

Embrace bring their melodic, guitar-led indie rock back to the stage on 9 November 2026 at Music Hall, Union Street, Aberdeen. Formed in the early 1990s around brothers Danny and Richard McNamara with Steve Firth, Mike Heaton and Mickey Dale, the band came up through the late-90s britpop and indie wave with songs like All You Good Good People, Fireworks and One Big Family. Their debut The Good Will Out set the tone for widescreen melodies and taut vocals, followed by Drawn from Memory and If You’ve Never Been, where the writing turned more restrained and introspective. The 2004 return Out of Nothing featured Gravity, written by Chris Martin, leading into This New Day before a long pause. Since reforming, Embrace have kept that balance of expansive hooks and airy arrangements across Embrace (2014), Love Is a Basic Need (2018) and How to Be a Person Like Other People (2022). On stage, expect a set that moves from early anthems to recent cuts, with layered keys, harmonies and guitars giving their catalogue a fresh, live edge.
