Jon Spencer performs at O2 Academy Oxford on 27 May 2026 at 5:30 pm. Active in the independent music scene since the mid-1980s, he has led Pussy Galore, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Heavy Trash, and Jon Spencer & the Hitmakers, and has also played with Boss Hog, The Honeymoon Killers, The Gibson Brothers, and Taxi Girls. He has toured widely and released numerous recordings.
His collaborations include Steve Albini, Add N to (X), Beastie Boys, Beck, Bomb the Bass, R. L. Burnside, James Chance, Coldcut, Chuck D, Dan the Automator, DJ Shadow, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Guitar Wolf.
