Info
Have Mercy return with a set built on early emo roots wired to modern rock dynamics. Across six studio albums, the Baltimore outfit has pushed through lineup changes and personal turbulence, refining a voice that balances raw confession and melodic punch without losing its edge.
Reunited in their hometown, Brian Swindle, Nick Woolford, Andrew Johnson and Steve Wootteon channel that journey into The Loneliest Place I’ve Ever Been (Rude Records). The record leans into themes of resilience and sobriety, dark but clear-eyed, polished yet deliberately rough around the seams. Guitars bite, hooks linger, and the rhythm section holds tight to a tension-and-release feel that underpins their most direct writing to date.
On stage, Have Mercy play the contrasts that define them: quiet-to-loud surges, bruised narratives carried by choruses built to be sung back, and arrangements that leave space for both grit and clarity. The set draws a line through their catalogue while putting the new songs up front.
Have Mercy at The Cluny, Newcastle upon Tyne, on 7 July 2026.
