Info
Hothouse Flowers bring their Greatest Hits Tour 2026 to De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, on 3 November 2026. Formed on the streets of Dublin in 1985 around Liam Ó Maonlaí and Fiachna Ó Braonáin, joined soon after by Peter O’Toole, the band forged a sound that braids alternative and folk rock with Celtic colours, gospel shadings and strands of Irish traditional music. It’s a mix built on Ó Maonlaí’s expressive vocals, rich harmonies and a feel for songs that move between charged grooves and acoustic ballads.
After breaking through with People (1988), then Home (1990) and Songs from the Rain (1993), the trio’s path took them from club stages to Reading and Glastonbury, alongside collaborations with Indigo Girls, The Dubliners and a one-off project with Def Leppard as The Acoustic Hippies From Hell. A mid‑90s pause led to a return with Born (1998), followed by The Vaults Vol. 1 (2003), Into Your Heart (2004) and Let’s Do This Thing (2016). On stage today, the core of Ó Maonlaí and Ó Braonáin is joined by Dave Clarke, Martin Brunsden and Peter O’Toole, revisiting a catalogue that spans three decades of songwriting.
