Info

Norwegian singer-songwriter Thomas Dybdahl brings his folk-rooted, soul-tinged pop to Vega in Copenhagen on 15 December 2026. After a start with Quadraphonics in the late 90s, he built a solo path defined by intimate songwriting, close-miked vocals and acoustic arrangements that leave space for the band. Early albums like ...That Great October Sound, Stray Dogs and One Day You’ll Dance for Me, New York City shaped his approach, carried forward on Science and Waiting for That One Clear Moment, then refined on What’s Left Is Forever, The Great Plains, All These Things and FEVER.

On stage, Dybdahl leads with voice and guitar, letting subtle grooves, brushed drums and restrained keys frame the melodies. He draws across two decades of songs, shifting from hushed folk sketches to lean soul-pop without losing focus on storytelling. His parallel work with The National Bank and for film and TV filters into the live sound: patient builds, small textures, attention to dynamics. At Vega, expect a set where English-language vocals sit upfront, the band plays for the song, and the arrangements keep the writing in clear view.
