DICE

Perth quartet DICE brings its melodic, guitar-forward indie rock to Whelan's in Dublin on 8 October 2026. Formed by Ben Hodge, Tom King, Regan Beazley and Sam Barrett-Lennard, the band first came up through Western Australia’s alternative circuit before taking their songs on the road across Australia, the UK and North America. Their writing swings between direct, compact tracks and more expansive cuts, built on clear melodies, supple rhythms and light psychedelic shades.

That balance sharpened on Midnight Zoo, the debut album released in 2024, where DICE leaned into more nuanced arrangements and themes while keeping a collective, live energy at the core. On stage, they shift from riff-led momentum to quieter pockets of restraint, letting guitars breathe while the rhythm section steers the dynamics. For this Dublin date at Whelan's, expect concise hooks, evolving contrasts and a four-piece groove focused on movement rather than ornament, tracing the band’s path from early singles to a sound that’s grown denser without losing its ease of access.
