Info
Kitty Craft is the lo-fi indie pop moniker of Minneapolis artist Pamela Valfer. Since the mid-90s, she’s been shaping compact songs where indie-pop melodies meet drum-machine patterns, uncluttered keyboards and bedroom-pop textures. From a first self-titled cassette in 1994 and the It’s Stupid EP in 1995, the project moved from skeletal sketches to a more structured format with I Got Rulez (1997), before opening out on the albums Beats and Breaks from the Flower Patch (Kindercore, 1998) and Catskills (March Records, 2000). Those records led to tours in Japan and local CD editions. A third album stayed in the vault in the early 2000s while Valfer focused on visual art and teaching, then the name resurfaced in 2019 with reissues and Lost Tapes drawn from 2003 sessions. In 2022, the anthology Mew (1994–2004) traced that decade of DIY pop and soft electronica.
On June 7, 2026 at The Workman’s Club, 10 Wellington Quay, Dublin 8, Kitty Craft brings that intimate, lo-fi electronic pop back to the stage: crisp programmed beats, light-touch synth lines and melodies that lean close, all carried by the understated charm of her Minneapolis indie roots.
