50 Jahre Knust: Fortuna Ehrenfeld

Fortuna Ehrenfeld is the Cologne project of Martin Bechler: musician, composer and author, who has been crafting songs and sound since 2016, often in the studio together with producer René Tinner. Live, the project usually appears as a trio, with Jenny Thiele on keyboards and vocals and Jannis Bentler on drums. The pieces move between German-language indie pop, chanson and delicate keyboard and guitar arrangements; the lyrics are at the centre.

On 9 August 2026 at the Knust in Hamburg, Fortuna Ehrenfeld will perform songs from their body of work to date: from Das Ende der Coolness, Vol. 2 and Hey Sexy to Helm ab zum Gebet and the French-language Debout pour ma prière, through to Die Rückkehr zur Normalität, the live album Das letzte Kommando – Live in der Kölner Philharmonie, Glitzerschwein, as well as the most recent chapters Solo live and Universum (2024). On stage, poetry and deadpan wit meet rhythmic drums, expansive keyboard textures and clear guitar lines—close to the text, carried by keys, guitar and drums.
