Info
On 4 July 2026 ZSK will play at Metropool in Enschede. The Berlin skate-punk band, formed in Göttingen in the late 1990s, mixes punk rock, melodic hardcore and hardcore punk into compact, direct songs. The lyrics are primarily in German, sometimes in English, and address themes such as anti-fascism, police violence, social inequality and political engagement. ZSK built its audience in youth centres, DIY squats and skate scenes, and grew into a fixture of the German and European punk scene.
The early chapter produced Riot Radio (2002), From Protest to Resistance (2004) and Discontent Hearts and Gasoline (2006), followed by a hiatus in 2007. In 2011 the band reformed with drummer Matthias on board. They subsequently released Herz für die Sache (2013), Hallo Hoffnung (2018), Ende der Welt (2021) and HassLiebe (2023). ZSK has shared stages with Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Die Toten Hosen and Donots, and remains closely connected to the explicitly anti-fascist initiative Kein Bock auf Nazis. Live, the band favours a straightforward approach, choruses to belt out and a charged drive that makes their years of touring and activism palpable.
