Les musiques de John Williams et Hans Zimmer

On Thursday, 25 February 2027 at 7:00 PM at the Zénith de Lille, "The Music of John Williams and Hans Zimmer — Symphonic Concert" presents a program dedicated to their works. The program includes: Interstellar, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Inception, Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean. Rediscover these film scores performed live by more than 70 musicians on stage. Under the direction of conductor Nicolas Simon, the Yellow Socks Orchestra, a French symphony orchestra specializing in film music, will perform these scores live.

John Williams, the long-time composer for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, has shaped film music since the 1970s. He wrote the scores for E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars, and has been awarded 5 Oscars with 54 nominations.

Hans Zimmer, a German-born composer naturalized as an American, has developed a compositional voice that blends orchestration with electronic textures. His collaborators include Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar) and Ridley Scott (Gladiator). He has received 2 Oscars.

The concert lasts approximately two hours. Sound is delivered using the d&b Soundscape system for precise reproduction and a spatialization of sound adapted to every seat.

Composers Hans Zimmer and John Williams will not be present on stage. Their works will be performed by the Yellow Socks Orchestra under the direction of Nicolas Simon.

Nicolas Simon is the musical director of the Yellow Socks Orchestra and principal conductor of the Orchestre de Caen.

The Yellow Socks Orchestra is a French symphony orchestra specializing in film music, founded in 2015 and placed under the musical direction of Nicolas Simon.
