Argentine band Kumbia Queers comes to Valencia with their blend of cumbia, punk and festive attitude. On September 9, 2026 at 5:30 PM they will perform at Matisse Club with a show that promises dancing, energy and a collective celebration.
Formed in Buenos Aires in 2007, Kumbia Queers reinvented cumbia from an irreverent, queer perspective, fusing cumbia villera with punk guitars and a DIY spirit. Their style, which they themselves describe as “1000% Tropi Punk,” mixes Afro-Caribbean and Latin American influences with the power of rock, creating a sound they have taken to stages in multiple countries.
With more than 15 years of history and tours across the Americas, Europe and the United States, the band is known for its high-energy concerts: a combination of original songs, covers and tracks from their latest releases that turns each show into an inclusive party where everyone is invited to dance and celebrate freedom.
