Sara Hebe
Born in Trelew, in the Argentine province of Chubut, Sara Hebe has since the late 2000s developed a repertoire at the crossroads of rap, reggaeton, cumbia, punk, and abrasive electronic music, with a direct, confrontational phrasing and rhythmic work often close to the Latin American alternative scene. Based in Buenos Aires since the early 2000s, she began writing and composing her own tracks in 2007, after a background marked by hip-hop dance, dancehall, and theater. Sara Hebe released her first album, La hija del Loco, in 2009, followed by Puentera in 2012, Colectivo Vacío in 2015, Sara Hebe in 2017, Politicalpari in 2019, and Sucia Estrella in 2022. Her trajectory is built in close relation with producer Ramiro Jota, a regular collaborator on her project. In her tracks as on stage, Sara Hebe blends staccato rap, singing, urban influences and punk tension, with lyrics that address power relations, social violence, gender issues, human rights, and the political situation in Argentina. Sara Hebe performs in Latin America as well as Europe, in contexts ranging from independent venues to festivals, maintaining a direct, physical approach anchored in protest cultures.
