Info
La Delio Valdez, a large cumbia orchestra from Buenos Aires, stops in Paris on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Cabaret Sauvage. Founded in 2009, the collective cultivates a cooperative, theatrical approach inherited from Argentine tango orchestras and large Caribbean ensembles. Brass, percussion, guitars and a blend of voices build a broad sound conceived as much for dancing as for listening.
For this Paris date, the group presents El Desvelo, a new album that extends their exploration of a cumbia both rooted in the Colombian tradition and permeated by salsa, tropical music and popular song. Marked rhythms, dialogues between winds and choirs, and the interplay between male and female voices: the arrangements gain depth without breaking with the genre’s classic framework.
On stage, fifteen musicians—women and men—deliver the scope of a full orchestra. With seven albums to their credit and a trajectory that has taken them from Argentina’s independent stages to European festivals, La Delio Valdez comes to Paris to unfold its way of linking Latin American orchestral heritage with a vibrant collective energy.
