The Argentine band Kumbia Queers arrives in Barcelona with their blend of cumbia, punk and a festive attitude. On September 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM they will perform at Sala Upload with a show that invites dancing and collective celebration.
Formed in Buenos Aires in 2007, Kumbia Queers renewed cumbia from an irreverent, queer perspective, fusing cumbia villera with punk guitars and a DIY spirit. Their style—what they define as tropipunk—mixes Afro-Caribbean and Latin American influences with the power of rock, creating a sound that has reached stages around the world.
With more than 15 years of career and tours across Latin America, Europe and the United States, the band presents a combination of original songs, covers and tracks from their latest releases that turn each show into a party where everyone is invited to dance and celebrate freedom.
