Covertramp - Hommage à Supertramp

Covertramp, a tribute to Supertramp, arrives at Zinga Zanga in Béziers on 20 March 2027 with a new production. On stage, six multi-instrumentalists deliver almost two hours of entirely live performance, conceived as a journey through the British band’s 1970s–80s repertoire. The programme blends classics and seldom-played gems, with meticulous attention to arrangements, harmonies and dynamics. The set includes School, Dreamer, Goodbye Stranger, Breakfast in America, Take the Long Way Home, Fool’s Overture and Give a Little Bit, performed in keys faithful to the originals and driven by a solid rhythm section and ever-present keyboards. On vocals, Philippe Tailleferd moves between the registers of Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies, capturing their complementary timbres without resorting to mere impersonation. A fully redesigned lighting scheme supports the moods, from gradual climaxes to more intimate moments. Endorsed by Roger Hodgson, Covertramp’s musicians pursue an approach attentive to the period sound, making the show accessible both to long-time fans and to those discovering these songs live.
