Then Comes Silence

Then Comes Silence arrives at the Molotov in Marseille on 17 September 2026. Born in Stockholm in the early 2010s around Alex Svenson, the band moves along a clear line between post-punk, cold wave and gothic rock: taut bass up front, dry guitars that carve the rhythm, a deep vocal and a nocturnal atmosphere firmly rooted in a rock format.

From the self-titled album through subsequent chapters up to Hunger in 2022, the band tightened its songwriting and thickened its sonic material, drawing on European darkwave for a pulse that hooks immediately. On stage, the band cultivates that direct tension: compact songs, tight, driving drums, dark melodic lines that linger, cutting guitars and chiaroscuro synth accents.

Honed on European and North American tours, Then Comes Silence embraces the intimacy of club shows with a nervous, precise set in which hints of death rock occasionally surface. An aesthetic that revisits the goth/post-punk legacy without being backward-looking, favoring a frontal impact and a collective dynamic conceived for the stage.
