Elio Mei

On 6 June 2026 at RUST in Nørrebro, Denmark, Elio Mei (US), formerly known as Madilyn Mei, brings a set of indie-folk and indie-pop shaped by acoustic guitars, stripped-back arrangements and a bedroom-pop grain. Raised on the outskirts of Phoenix, he/they moved from early demos to a body of work where fantasy storytelling meets down-to-earth confession.

After the 2022 EP Where No One Knows My Name, Mei released the 2023 album To Exist With You, featuring the duet Sleeping in the Kitchen with Addison Grace, then the horror-tinged EP Promise You Won’t Scream. In 2024, the concept EP The Bard pushed the narrative thread further, folding role-playing references into intimate songwriting, followed by the costumed Side Quest Tour. 2025 brought A Thousand Songs About It All: Act 1, plus US support dates for AJR and collaborations with Scrawny and cloudkissed.

On stage, expect narrative folk-pop that shifts from hushed ballads to brighter hooks, lyrics circling identity, gender and the work of becoming, delivered with a storyteller’s timing and a taste for world-building.
