Kaizers Orchestra

Kaizers Orchestra bring their Norwegian alt-rock with a cabaret twist to TRAIN in Aarhus on October 17, 2026. Led by singer and guitarist Janove Ottesen, the six-piece formed in the late 1990s and built a singular sound that mixes electric rock drive, brass-like Balkan rhythms and a dark, theatrical edge. Sung in Norwegian, their songs lean on repetitive motifs, sharp storytelling and refrains meant to be chanted together, sketching scenes of families on the margins, soldiers and shady clans.

On stage, the band moves easily between the raw energy of their early records Ompa til du dør and Evig pint, the more orchestrated textures of Maestro, and the direct punch of Maskineri. The Violeta Violeta trilogy adds a narrative thread that suits their taste for concept and atmosphere, giving the live set a cinematic feel without losing immediacy. After a farewell run in 2013 and years devoted to side projects, Kaizers Orchestra returned in the early 2020s with renewed live momentum.
