Info
On April 3, 2026 at Le Dodu in Marseille, Lila Iké performs a DJ set. A leading figure of the new Jamaican reggae wave, she blends reggae, soul and R&B with an ease that marks her tracks, from "Biggest Fan," "Second Chance" and "Where I'm Coming From" to the EP The ExPerience. Between singing and a deejay-like delivery, she unfolds intimate lyrics rooted in everyday Jamaican life, and has multiplied collaborations, notably with Joey Bada$$ and H.E.R. For this date she will be behind the decks, without a live band, presenting a selection that reflects her universe and influences.
Alongside her, Le Birrette, an all-female Italian ensemble formed in Bologna, cultivates the spirit of sixties- and seventies-era Jamaica. The group moves between ska, rocksteady, soul and roots reggae, driven by vocal harmonies and arrangements inspired by the Studio One and Treasure Isle traditions. Seen on numerous European stages and behind the 2024 album Wanted, Le Birrette favor a deliberately vintage sound recorded in analogue. Wurl Sound completes the lineup.
