Rosanne Cash will perform on 18 October 2026 at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, together with guitarist and producer John Leventhal. Raised on country but steadily charting her own course toward folk, pop and Americana, she has built since the early 1980s a catalogue of clearly written songs. From Seven Year Ache and King’s Record Shop to her later, more restrained work: Cash moved her music toward intimate storytelling, with Black Cadillac, The List, The River & The Thread and She Remembers Everything as touchstones. Themes such as memory, the American South and family history run like a thread through her repertoire, carried by a voice that stays close to the words.
On stage Leventhal serves as her steady anchor: subtle guitars, precise timing, small details that allow the melody to breathe. As a duo the pair present spare, acoustic arrangements, leaving room for silence, phrasing and short anecdotes between songs. The set weaves early favourites and more recent material together, with the occasional choice from The List. No frills, but an attention to the song and the chemistry of two musicians who know each other’s playing down to the finest nuance.
