Edwin Evers

On 27 March 2026 the Edwin Evers Band will be at Musis Arnhem. Around drummer and radio host Edwin Evers, a large live formation grew in the early 2000s, with multiple singers, a rhythm section and horns. The band dives into pop history from the seventies to the present and reworks well-known songs from pop, rock, soul and funk into arrangements made for the stage. Not exact copies, but versions that revolve around vocal harmonies, timing and the interplay of a full band.

Evers himself sits behind the kit and directs the whole with the ear of someone who knows the music down to the smallest detail. The set moves smoothly between decades and styles, leaving room for groove, melody and brief excursions for the horns. What began in the slipstream of his radio work has grown into a touring machine that plays clubs, concert halls and open-air shows across the Netherlands.

In Arnhem you’ll hear that approach up close: familiar choruses, new layers in the arrangements and a focus on voices and rhythm. For one evening Musis Arnhem will be the setting for a Dutch live band with a wide repertoire and a fondness for the collective sound on stage.
