Nick Mulvey

Nick Mulvey comes to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven on 25 May 2026. The British singer-songwriter has carved out his own path between folk and world music, with an acoustic sound that is as rhythmic as it is melodic. Having grown up amid studies and travels between Spain, Cuba and London, he developed a fluid guitar style full of polyrhythms and fingerpicking, over which his warm voice calmly finds its way. Before his solo career, Mulvey was a member of Portico Quartet, with whom he first attracted attention early on; later his solo work was also nominated for the Mercury Prize.

On stage, Mulvey’s focus is on the songs: open, spacious and direct, with subtle percussive accents and guitar patterns that come to life layer by layer. He explores themes of connection, travel and our relationship with nature, without becoming heavy. Expect a set that starts intimately and gradually seeks out the pulse, in which older songs sit seamlessly alongside newer material. No grand gestures, but careful attention to detail, dynamics and interplay with the audience. An evening to sit close to the music and move with the rhythm.
