Goose

Goose from Norwalk, Connecticut, plays Melkweg in Amsterdam on 27 May 2026. The band moves between indie, jam and light psych-pop, featuring Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (keys, guitar, vocals), Trevor Weekz (bass) and Cotter Ellis (drums). Live, it’s about long arcs of tension, repetitive grooves and melodies that leave room for improvisation. Bright guitars, warm, embracing keys and a compact but dense rhythm section form the foundation over which the jams unfold and explore new directions.

From Moon Cabin (2016) through Shenanigans Nite Club (2021), Dripfield (2022), Everything Must Go (2024) and Chain Yer Dragon (2025), Goose has built a repertoire that easily stretches on stage. Songs slide into one another through slow build-ups, themes return in variations, and the band lets pieces breathe before they shift. The Amsterdam set leans on recent work and older live favorites, with wide margins for collective improvisation, ’70s-tinged rock fragments and passages that keep the melody central. All in service of that live moment where a motif, a groove and four players find each other.
