Info
On Friday, December 4, 2026, Danakil and Maxxo take to the stage at the Centre Culturel Jean Carmet in Mûrs-Érigné (49) for a reggae evening that blends roots heritage with contemporary pulse.
Danakil. Twenty-two years on the road and an adventure that began among friends in the early 2000s. From tip-based shows and café-concerts to Zénith venues and major European festivals, the collective has forged a committed roots sound, driven by a horn section and conscious songwriting. Their lyrics address social justice, solidarity and ecology with a clarity that endures across time. On stage, the group’s cohesion creates a direct dialogue with the audience, without artifice. In this way, Danakil carves out a path that goes beyond the simple label of “reggae band.”
Maxxo. Active on the scene for nearly twenty years, he champions a mostly English-language reggae—precise and warm, situated between Jamaican roots and dancehall influences. His journey has brought him to work alongside artists such as Alpha Blondy, Aswad, Groundation, Capleton, Dub Inc, Sinsémilia, Max Romeo and Sly & Robbie, both in the studio and live. Recognized from his debut album, he embraces self-production and oversees every stage of his tracks. After a period devoted to producing for others and pursuing various artistic explorations, he returns with new singles and stage-ready energy.
