Info
dEUS bring two defining chapters of their history back to the stage with the Worst Case Versus In A Bar Tour: Worst Case Scenario (1994) and In a Bar, Under the Sea (1996). On March 27, 2026, at the Batschkapp in Frankfurt am Main, the band’s angular energy and early noise tensions meet melodic lines, shifted song structures and the blend of guitars, violin and keys that shaped their sound from the start. At the center is Tom Barman, whose voice and guitar form the flexible core of a lineup that has always allowed itself room to move.
Formed in Antwerp in the early 1990s, dEUS occupy territory between indie, experimental detours and art-rock influences. After their debut came The Ideal Crash, Pocket Revolution, Vantage Point, Keep You Close and Following Sea, most recently How to Replace It (2023). The band is known for an intense live presence in which direct choruses sit alongside deconstructed passages and atmospheric textures collide with clear hooks.
The tour places the two early albums in direct conversation and reconnects their poles: raw friction here, intricate arrangements there. It’s an evening that traces the early sketches while also showing how dEUS have carried this approach forward over the years—focused, agile and without adornment.
