Paul Simon

Info

On April 15, 2026, Paul Simon will take the stage at the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin. The American songwriter, known from the folk‑rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, has developed since the 1960s a style of storytelling that stays close to everyday life. With solo albums such as Paul Simon (1972), There Goes Rhymin’ Simon (1973) and Still Crazy After All These Years (1975), he combined acoustic ballads with touches of soul and gospel.

From the mid‑1980s he significantly expanded his sonic palette: Graceland (1986), partly recorded with South African musicians, and The Rhythm of the Saints (1990), featuring Brazilian percussion, shifted his sound toward global rhythms and harmonies. This was followed by work for film and stage as well as albums such as You’re the One, Surprise, So Beautiful or So What, Stranger to Stranger, In the Blue Light and, most recently, Seven Psalms. On stage Simon spans the spectrum between intimate folk songs, polyrhythmic grooves and clear arrangements, sustained by precise lyricism and a confident command of melody and space.
