Genetikk - Genetikk Live 2026

Genetikk, the duo from Saarbrücken made up of rapper Karuzo and producer Sikk, will perform at Batschkapp in Frankfurt am Main on April 8, 2026. Since the late 2000s they have combined their masked stage presence and a pop-culture–influenced visual language with German lyrics that tell dark, precise and vividly imagined stories. Sonically they delve deep into 1990s US rap: soul and funk samples, cinematic atmospheres, boom‑bap tempos, repeatedly woven together with more contemporary tonal colors. On stage the core duo of Karuzo and Sikk remains the axis; guest artists appear occasionally, while the focus stays on tightness and direct drive.

In the live set early tracks from Foetus and Voodoozirkus cross paths with chapters from D.N.A., Achter Tag, Fukk Genetikk and Y.A.L.A. The result is a compact cross-section of their catalogue: powerful drums, sample-driven hooks and a visual signature in which masks and pop-culture references set the tone. In this way the duo translates their studio aesthetic to the stage without detours, maintaining the balance between a classic boom‑bap feel and contemporary textures.
