Thirty-five years after the release of Alors regarde, Patrick Bruel celebrates this landmark album of French chanson with an exclusive series of concerts in Quebec City. On stage, he revisits that period by reworking the songs that brought his voice and songwriting to the forefront — from “Casser la voix” to “Place des grands hommes,” including “Alors regarde” and “J’te l’dis quand même.” Backed by a tight band, he gives these tracks new dimension in versions arranged for live performance and ties them to other standout pieces from his repertoire, alternating between pop-driven energy and more acoustic breaths. A return to basics that focuses on intimacy, the melodies and the lyrics, to remind audiences why these refrains have stood the test of time.
