George Thorogood & The Destroyers - The Baddest Show On Earth

Info

Since their first University of Delaware gig in 1973, George Thorogood and drummer Jeff Simon have steered the Destroyers on a straight-ahead path: blues rock, boogie pulse, slide guitar and a raw vocal grain. More than 8,000 shows and 15 million albums later, the band is still about the stage, where tight riffs and a no-frills groove do the talking. On March 15, 2026, they bring The Baddest Show on Earth to Great Canadian Casino Vancouver in Coquitlam.

The set leans on the songs that built their name — Bad to the Bone, I Drink Alone, Move It On Over — alongside stripped-down reworks of roots staples from John Lee Hooker, Elmore James or Chuck Berry. Thorogood’s bottleneck lines bite, Simon’s backbeat stays lean, and the group locks into that bar-band swing they’ve sharpened city after city since the late 70s. Albums like Maverick and Born to Be Bad mark the milestones, but the core stays the same: simple structures, driving tempos and a live sound built to hit hard in the room. Five decades on, the Destroyers keep it moving.
