Thaïs « Fille de joie »

Info

On March 19, 2026, Thaïs Vauquières takes to the stage of the Théâtre du Gymnase - Marie Bell in Paris with Fille de joie, a one-woman show in which she dissects, in her own way, the great family gathering. At 33—single, childless, a freelance performer and a redhead—she pulls at the thread of what itches: impulse phobias, respiratory and food allergies, but above all social ones. Rather than pour her heart out to a therapist, she turns her mishaps into sketch material and invites the audience to spend a family evening that’s not quite like the others.

You’ll encounter a vegan cousin, a father in the midst of a revelation, a very open-minded mother, secrets that drop at the worst possible moment, and that infamous uncle who brings the mood down. Between blunt confessions and edgy characters, Thaïs lays on the table what’s usually avoided at dinner: social pressures, anxieties, allergies and faux pas. Written by Thaïs Vauquières with Stéphane Casez and Paul Brinio; directed by Stéphane Casez.
