Info
Ousanousava, an emblematic group from Réunion, has been performing music deeply rooted in the island since the 1980s. Their first songs date from 1982 and their self-titled debut album was released in 1989. Their path has taken them from Réunion stages to venues in mainland France and across the Indian Ocean region, from Madagascar to Mauritius, including the Seychelles and Zimbabwe. With fifteen albums to their name, including Ça mon pays released in 2021, the band continues to explore a repertoire nourished by maloya, séga and interwoven rhythms, carried by lyrics that tell of Réunionnais identity and memory.
For the 2026 tour, Ousanousava is preparing a set that spans their various records and brings their signature songs back to the fore. On stage, the expanded lineup gathers eight musicians—guitars, bass, drums, violin and brass—for a rich, warm sonic palette faithful to the group’s spirit. Ousanousava will perform at Le Petit Faucheux in Tours on 10 May 2026, eager to share a musical story experienced as much through groove as through cultural transmission.
