Bart Herman. Van reizen, roezen en rozen.

Bart Herman, Belgian singer-songwriter, moves through his songs as one crosses a landscape: stages, detours, memories. With Van reizen, roezen en rozen he gathers new stories and a few essentials, written in Dutch, between acoustic ballads, folk inflections and country echoes. Guitar up front, restrained melodies, precise writing: he places the emphasis on storytelling, sings of the road, intoxication and roses, and unfolds a repertoire that favors the clarity of words and the breathing of the choruses. On stage he alternates songs and asides, in a format that leaves room for the lyrics and the pace of the live performance.
