On 30 April 2027, Simple Minds will perform at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam with the V Tour 2027, their biggest arena tour to date. Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill will not only deliver a retrospective but also a snapshot of where the band stands today: driven by their art rock and new wave roots, but with a sound that remains broad and melodic.
The tour is centered around Sacrosanct, the album the group announced for 29 January and that emerged from the rhythm of their recent world tours. You will hear new songs alongside a career spanning five decades, with that recognizable mix of restrained tension, synth textures, and Burchill’s sparkling guitar lines. Expect a set where early energy and later stadium power alternate, and in which Kerr’s lyrics again revolve around friendship, time, longing, and the choice to stay in the moment.
