Info
On June 20, 2027, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard land at Eventim Apollo in London with the kind of live show that matches their non-stop, shape-shifting discography. Built around six musicians led by Stu Mackenzie, the Melbourne band treats rock as a playground: garage and lo‑fi psych at the roots, then quick left turns into prog, microtonal experiments, folk detours, jazz-rock jams, or full-on metal stretches.
If you know them, you know the thrill is in the constant movement. Songs can be tight and punchy, then suddenly stretch into long, repetitive, hypnotic passages, with improvisation opening up inside a set that still feels carefully written. It’s also where their “Gizzverse” mindset makes sense in real time: motifs, moods, and riffs reappearing in new forms as the night keeps mutating, driven by a lineup that stays locked-in while pushing the edges.
