On June 1, 2027, at The O2 in London, Tame Impala brings its “Deadbeat EU/UK Tour 2027” to a room made for big, immersive sound. Built around Kevin Parker, alongside Dom Simper and Jay Watson, the Australian trio has a way of turning psychedelic rock into something both hazy and sharply detailed, balancing slow-burn grooves with hooky, melodic lines. Since the early days of the 2008 EP and the leap from Innerspeaker to Lonerism, their live shows have kept that push and pull between dreamy textures and tight, driving rhythms, designed to hit as much in the body as in the head.
Wet Leg opens the night, taking their Isle of Wight indie rock from deadpan one-liners to punchy riffs that land fast. Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers built their buzz on the dry charm of “Chaise Longue” and the lean, bratty energy of their 2022 debut, mixing post-punk edge with pop immediacy. Live, the duo expands into a full band without losing the directness: short songs, sharp turns, and that half-spoken vocal cool that keeps everything slightly sideways.
