Info
16 Horsepower is returning to the stage and has finally arrived in Poland: on April 16, 2027 they will play in Warsaw, at Proxima. This encounter brings together a band that since the 1990s has built its own language at the crossroads of gothic country and Americana, but without postcard-like atmosphere – rather with tension, rawness and darkness. At the center is David Eugene Edwards: distinctive, throaty vocal, a multi-instrumental approach, and lyrics saturated with biblical imagery. Beside him, Pascal Humbert and Jean‑Yves Tola complete this trance-like, 'rootsy' outfit, in which Appalachian folk, bluegrass and gospel mingle with post-punk energy and rock discipline. Material known from Sackcloth ’n’ Ashes, Low Estate, Secret South or Folklore gains heft live: more space, more dirt, and the melodies still cling to the skeletal rhythm.
