Info
On January 20, 2027, at Usher Hall in Edinburgh, The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Psychedelic Furs share the bill for a night built on sharp melodies and guitars that bite.
Led by Jim and William Reid, The Jesus and Mary Chain bring that signature clash between pop clarity and distortion: compact songs pushed through a wall of noise, shaped from the Psychocandy-era shock to the darker, leaner turn of Darklands and beyond. Their later records keep the same tension alive, where rough textures still serve direct hooks.
With Richard Butler’s husky voice at the front, The Psychedelic Furs pull post-punk into a more melodic, darkly romantic lane, mixing taut guitars, bass lines that move, keys and that touch of sax. Expect the kind of set that can jump from nervy momentum to open choruses, touching the band’s best-known tracks like Pretty in Pink, Love My Way, The Ghost in You, and Heaven.
