Info
On February 5, 2027, corto.alto lands at Electric Brixton in London with the kind of set that blurs the line between gig and club night. Led by Scottish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Liam Shortall, the Glasgow-born project sits right where contemporary jazz meets electronica, hip-hop and soul. Expect brass lines that don’t just solo but lock into the beat, improvisation that morphs into tight, layered production, and grooves built to move bodies as much as minds.
On stage, corto.alto’s music thrives on collective energy: dense, organic arrangements, quick turns between live interplay and electronic textures, and a modern UK jazz spirit that nods to the scene without copying it. It’s a show for anyone into forward-leaning sounds, where the heritage is there, but the point is the future.
