Joe Armon-Jones arrives in Paris with Maxwell Owin on 24 November 2026 at Le Point Éphémère for an evening where the keyboard leads the dance. A leading figure in the revival of London jazz, trained at Tomorrow’s Warriors and a founding member of Ezra Collective, Armon-Jones has built a sound that moves between contemporary jazz, funk, broken beat, dub and electronic forays. On stage, one finds this taste for looping grooves, thick textures and improvisation that lets the tracks veer off course without breaking them.
With Maxwell Owin, a longtime collaborator, the approach tightens toward a more nocturnal and club-oriented terrain, in the spirit of their Archetype collaboration, while retaining that attention to detail and deep bass. Expect a hybrid set, between live performance and production, where jazz rubs shoulders with rhythm and atmospheres, without hard boundaries.
