Info
Cory Henry brings Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles back on stage in London for “A Jam Good Time” at Blue Note London on December 6, 2026. Built as his main live playground after his Snarky Puppy years, the band leans into a mix of funk, soul, gospel and contemporary jazz, with one clear rule: the groove leads, everything else follows.
Expect a set that breathes and stretches, shaped by long improvised passages, quick shifts in dynamics, and constant live rearrangements. Cory’s keyboards sit right at the center, switching between tight rhythmic stabs, swirling organ runs and open-ended solos, while the rhythm section keeps the pulse locked in and the vocals stack up in rich, gospel-tinged harmonies. It’s rooted in the spirit of 70s Black American music, but wired to the present, with the kind of repetitive bass lines and R&B edge heard on Art of Love—and plenty of room for surprises.
