Bertrand Belin continues along his own path, somewhere between French chanson, cinema-tinged pop, and hushed rock. A singer-songwriter and writer, he is known for precise, imagery-rich writing and a deep voice that is instantly recognizable. His songs unfold in scenes, with characters and details that grab the ear, and with a taste for the rhythm of words and the silences that make up his signature.
On stage, Belin creates a mood more than he seeks effect: a sober presence, a way of telling stories without overemphasizing, and music that leaves room for nuance.
