Change returns with 'The Very Best of Change' on May 8, 2027 at Indigo at The O2 in London, to dive back into its post-disco groove tailor-made for the dancefloor. Born in Bologna in the late 1970s, around Jacques Fred Petrus, Mauro Malavasi and Davide Romani, the project has always leaned on an Italian-American back-and-forth: instrumentals built in Italy, vocals laid down in the United States. The result is a supple, melodic sound at the crossroads of euro disco, funk and R&B.
On stage, the idea is simple: traverse the tracks that have forged the collective's identity, from the satin-smooth energy of The Glow of Love and Miracles to the more R&B-influenced evolution of the subsequent albums. Change also has this peculiarity of functioning without a fixed line-up, inviting vocalists and musicians according to the eras, with notable names such as Luther Vandross, Diva Gray, James Robinson or Deborah Cooper. A set that bridges the classics with newer revivals, without taking their eyes off the dancefloor.
